Hello, I am searching for a hint...
Recently I got a S80 Synth in good visual condition. Sadly after powering the thing nothing happens. Ok, not nothing, The LCD lights up and in the first row all pixels are dark. After opening the device I saw that inside the synth is in good condition (visual), too.
I found some technical documents about the synth, measured the power supply and checked the backup battery. After studying the schematics i did some voltage measurement with no findings.

Now I search for some hints howto proceed. Would like to hear the synth in some of my songs.

Try the Factory Reset:

Utility Job Mode (Page 141)
Press [UTILITY]
Press the [JOB] button
To exit to another Mode, press the respective key for that Mode or press the [EXIT] key to return to Utility Mode.

Suggestion: authorized Service center

thx. But the display did not show anything... so I was not able to go to any menu.
But at the end I fixed it. After some measuring, analyzing and so on, I found out, that the display is brocken. Replaced it an now the S80 works again.

Now I have a old new Synth for my setup.
