hello Phil , I must tell you ,I dig and respect how you do your job. The story about hearing Bernard Purdie got my attention! My problem goes back a couple months or more , seems I still have serious need for no less than one dependable download place It beats me, why take down what we had before it could be replaced? thanks, Kenny
Here's how to find what you need, although you don't mention what product you own.
If it is a current product:
Go to your regional Yamaha website for example, www.usa.yamaha.com
Navigate to the SYNTHESIZER & MUSIC PRODUCTION TOOLS area
Select Synthesizers
Select your product
You will arrive on the OVERVIEW screen for that product
Click on the DOWNLOADS link - this will take you to a screen that has all available downloads (Manuals, Firmware, Software, Content etc., etc) for the product you selected.
If the product is not a current product:
Navigate to the SYNTHESIZER & MUSIC PRODUCTION TOOLS area
Select SYNTHESIZERS
If your product is not listed it is a legacy product... near the top of the screen next to NEWS & EVENTS you will see a link to the general DOWNLOAD area for SYNTHs.
You will see separate links to "Brochures and Catalogs", "Firmware and Software", "Manuals", and "Content Data"
Click on "Firmware and Software"
Type in the KEYWORD - which is the general product area... if you own an S90 ES for example you would use the KEYWORD "S90" (this will recall everything related to the S90-series of synthesizer from Yamaha, including the S90, S90 ES, S90 XS etc.
