Hi guys

I just purchased the lovely AN1x. 🙂
There is one thing I struggle with. Pushing and holding the button takes ages to change the delay time from, let's say 280ms to 50ms. Is there any way to type in the delay time or at least "scroll" faster?

Thanks in advance!

It's been a good fifteen years since I've played an AN1x, but as I recall you touched it once to see the current value, you touch and held to make it scroll rapidly.

If you know the exact values you are switching between, you might be able to store the two settings in SCENE 1 and 2, that way when you switch Scenes the change is made automatically. Forgive me, if I'm overlooking something... It's on the edge of my memory... Whether or not things like delay time were ever accessible by anything other than the up/down buttons.

Hi Bad Mister

Thanks for your reply!

The way you describe it, is exactly the way I do it (touch and hold). The problem is, if I have to go from 285ms to 50ms, it takes literally several minutes. If I have to do it for left/right/center it takes even longer. I thought maybe there is a way to type in the data directly or to hold another button to jump decimals.

There must be. It's just too long ago for me to remember. "Several minutes" doesn't sound right at all. You may want to contact Customer Service perhaps they have a better memory than I have or perhaps there is something wrong with your instrument. There must be a way to advance rapidly - I simply haven't touched on in over 15 years.

Why don't you use AN1x Edit?

Yes, I agree with Radian. It does take way too long to adjust the delay time if you use the matrix buttons. Very frustrating.

Although it is faster to set the delay time if you use the Editor, but only if you keep your AN1x connected to a computer. Otherwise, by the time you un-pack your computer, boot-up your computer and connect it to the AN1x and launch the editor, it may be more convenient (and faster) just to manually set the delay with the Matrix buttons.
