Any info on the soft case that is coming out? Anyone have one yet to rate for us, or do you have a different case that works well?
I have the keyboard but Im using the case from my Montage 6 to lug it around. Want something lighter and better fitting.
In the beginning the case was supposed to come with the board from earlier advertisements. I have a bunch of pedals already so as an alternative to the free pedal deal Yamaha should offer the case. It looks cool in the photos. I'm betting those weren't ready when the board was released so that inclusion was forfeited.
OMG retailing for $350 and listing for $299 for a tiny little soft case for a 15lb keyboard? I'd recommend generic all day long. Amazon has a $39 bag looks about the same quality with great ratings. Search "61 Key Keyboard Gig Bag Case,Portable Durable Keyboard Piano Waterproof 600D Oxford Cloth with 10mm Cotton Padded Case Gig Bag 40"x16"x6" / Black+Red" Just confirm inside dimensions will work.
There's also a Gator case on sale for $110 but search for this one here like a real roadie case: Crossrock 61 Key Keyboard Case Hard Molded with Wheels in Black (CRA861KBK)
Yeah, that first one didnt get great reviews. The 2nd one is the one I have for my Montage 6. I may wind up just ordering another one. 99 bucks is not bad
I have the slim line Gator one without wheels coming. I have the bigger one for the Montage 6 with wheels. This one doesnt need it. So light.
Hi, The SK1 soft cace is a Perfect fit with hold down straps and nice padding and its on sale Everywhere for $69... only issue is it says Hammond on it...But I own a Real Hammond so I don't mind for now.. Maybe if Yamaha Dropped the price of their case to about $150,I might get it.
I got the Gator Slimline for 61 keys and it fits the YC61 like a glove! Very plush and protective.
I have the Gator Slimline being delivered today. Just in time as I have 4 gigs this week with the YC61. Great board so far.
I have the Yamaha SC YC61 Soft Case coming tomorrow. I'll let you guys know what I think about it asap!
If it is the same quality as for the cp73 it is excellent.
I have it for the CP and I´ll become it for the YC61 next monday. Yamaha has designed it for this keyboards. they have on both side spacers. I'm usually a little scared of the small toggle switches, that's why it's worth a higher price.
Paul, It looks like the only thing I can from the YC61 case and the CP73 case is it has backpack carry strap and no wheels? But it is very nice and fits great!
Yes, that's probably the case. Although I don't miss wheels because of the light weight.
It was on some early advertisements as well but if you read english, on the Yamaha YC page it still clearly states as follows:
"Before you rock, roll. YC61 is available with a premium soft case. Both case feature zippered compartments for storing pedals and other accessories."
It does not say the case is available for the YC. Totally different meanings considering the word "available" is in the wrong place.
"With a premium soft case" implies that the case is included with the available YC61.
1st post, brand new YC61 owner.
I've found the On Stage 49 key keyboard bag fits the YC61 like a glove.
model KBA4049
the sustain, FC7, leslie half moon switch, cables and notebook fit in the Outer pocket.
Plus it has backpack straps. I think i paid $65.
