Save piano EQ in a Live Set

I understand that I can’t save the EQ settings in a live set.

I would like to achieve a more “mellow” CFX tone. I’ve found an EQ setting that tames the highs and brings out a richer midrange.

Is there any way to save settings like this in a live set?

Is there any other way to save settings like this in a live set?

EQ the Piano Performance to your preference.
Press [STORE]
Tap “Store As New Performance” or if you are editing a previously stored User Performance, you can tap “Overwrite Current Perf”
Name the Performance so that you know it’s your EQ’d version.
Tap “Done”
From the HOME screen of this User Performance hold [SHIFT] + [LIVE SET] and store this to the Live Set slot you wish to use.

To be more specific, I’m playing an A/B comparison using my CP4 as the controller, alternating between the CFX in the YC61 and the one in the CP4. I really like what I perceive to be the warmer, fuller tone of the SCM CFX in CP4 vs that of the AWM2 CFX in YC61.

I’ve been playing around with the envelope, filter and tone, and seem to have achieved a more natural, round tone.

Is there any other setting that I should be experimenting with?

Thank you Bad Mister. Always appreciate your input.

That said, Live Sets don’t store EQ. I’m trying to save my EQ (or something with a similar effect) with the live set.

I am playing the opening bars of Debussy’s Arabesque I as a test, alternating between the two tone generators. Switching the YC61 Touch Curve to “Wide” feels like I’m getting closer to the depth of tone control I feel I have in my CP4.

I’m looking for any other hints as to how to gain a rounder, warmer tone in my YC61 CFX.

Some of the difference seems to stem from differing responses to attack and velocity.

Dov, Sorry, I answered as if you owned a MODX or MONTAGE... where there is a Part EQ (in addition to the Master EQ). Forget what I wrote —

THE YC has a Master EQ which is not stored in the Live Set. Sorry for the confusion.

From Page 12....
[STORE] button
For storing the edited Live Set Sound.
The following content is stored. Stored settings will be retained when this instrument is turned off.
• Settings of the Organ Section
• Settings of the Key A and Key B Sections
• Settings of the EFFECT Section
• Settings of the SPEAKER/AMP Section
• Settings of the REVERB Section
• Settings in SETTINGS (including SPLIT POINT and TRANSPOSE)

NOTE:
Settings of the Master EQ cannot be stored in Live Set Sound.
