Hiya - hoping someone can help me, still finding my way with this new instrument, and this has me puzzled.

In some Live Sets (factory preset ones, as well as some of my own), the sustain pedal will hold Keys A and B, but not Organ. In other Live Sets, it will hold all three. I can't seem to find what parameter is causing this difference in sustain pedal behaviour.

The obvious one would be ensuring the sustain pedal is set to 'Sustain', and not to 'Rotary S/F', but this doesn't seem to be the solution, because
(a) even when it's set to Sustain, it still doesn't sustain the organ, and
(b) if it WAS set to Rotary S/F, it wouldn't sustain any of the voices, yet in my case it's still holding Keys A and B.

So is there some other voice-specific setting that influences how the organ responds to the sustain pedal? Or any other clues that anyone can give me on why Organ would sustain in some Live Sets, but not others?

Thanks 🙂

All good, I figured it out 🙂

Settings > Controllers > Receive SW > Sustain > Organ = ON

Maybe an organ player programmed the ones without use of sustain on the organ and non-organists did a non-organist thing of adding sustain to an organ.

"Sustain" in organs is usually an adjustment for longer decays for some tones - not the same as the sustain foot pedal in pianos.

You're probably right, and I'm definitely doing the non-organist thing here with the sustain pedal :p I'm finding the F Organ to be a really good way of adding some subtle bottom end to some of the E.Piano and Synth sounds, and can use the drawbars to very easily shape the sound on the fly.
