Would there be any point in loading the Motif XF "Inspiration in a Flash" voices into my Montage? Or are most or all of them already there?

I just imported two Dave Polich libraries (Axxe, Vintage Keys) into my Montage, and it was a royal pain in the rear end involving the use of my Motif XF and John Melas' Total Librarian to get all of the Polich voices without extra copies of voices I didn't want from the other User banks. So I'm hoping that it won't be necessary in the case of IIAF.

There is never a point to loading something you consider "a royal pain"... It's up to you. All I can tell you is nobody was considering loading the data you mention into a Monatge when they created it. If it is easier for you to program these sounds from scratch, then do so, but I think installing new sounds to your new synth is a lot easier than reprogramming the data from scratch. Only you can determine if you want to go through that effort. I suggest if it is such a chore you just forego dealing with it.

Frankly, many of the IIAF sounds are not converting properly either due to the nature of the original data storage method or a bug in the conversion process. This is still to be determined. So if this is really that troublesome for you, then I highly recommend you forego attempting to load the data until all problems have been resolved and someone makes a version specifically for the Montage. Life's too short for doing things you find a "royal pain". 🙂

Is there anybody who has a working copy for Montage from 'Inspiration_in_a_Flash'?
I just downloaded a fresh copy from http://www.motifator.com/storage/support/Inspiration_in_a_Flash.zip but that one does not work with Montage.
I can't play the 'S700 for XS' for example.

The "S700 for XS" has already been converted for Montage and is apart of the factory Preset.

"S700 for Montage" (one of my personal favorites). This has an extremely smooth, non-explosive, rich piano tone that I find very soothing to play as a solo acoustic piano. This particular version of it is a four way velocity switching Part with key-off noise. I've been playing versions of this S700 since it first appeared in the S80 back in the late 1990's. And, by far, this one rules... It takes advantage of the sonic power of the Montage engine. Check it out.

As to the data in the "Inspiration in a Flash" Motif XF file, it has been determined that many of the sounds in that compilation (including the S700 data) do not translate from that to Montage, directly. There is a definite incompatibility with certain Waveform data in that file. That collection was assembled from multiple sources...

If that library gets redone - you'll hear about it here.
