So just curious about Ableton...., Im so old school, but just wondering what the advantages are over a DAW and playing the notes on the keyboard vs the pads on the Push. For example I often will play the drums manually when I don't have an arp handy that works, and I often which I had a "better" way to play then then using the keyboard notes... both from a velocity, and notes/pad layout. So I could see Ableton helping there. Is Ableton considered a DAW and controller.... intriguing, will watch some of the vids. Not sure how it would help when we have the scenes, arps, FC7 assignments, etc...... to control what is going on dynamically on the Montage. Seems a bit redundant... but I cant even imagine the work flow to be honest. Im still learning Elements/Cubase and I can get my midi and audio tracks down and in sync..... Although I find myself playing live and using the performance recorder as I learn how to use the power of the Montage, dynamically. Is Ableton something to look at... say vs another hardware synth, in your opinions? Having a blast with the Montage, learning how to tame and harness it's power. This Ableton thing looks really interesting, so looking for a few opinions on how this gets integrated and if it's worth getting into.
