The iPad volume (class compliant) is controlled by the iPad app.

Thanks for the quick reply. I try to put the request in the "Firmware Feature Suggestions" post: without the possibility of changing the volume becomes impossible to play "live" the ipad. On the contrary it would be very interesting, for each performance, to have the same properties of the digital inputs in the mixer section (Volume, Pan, Dry Level, Var Send and Rev Send);)

Plug the iPAD into the A/D Input you get Volume, Pan, Dry Level, Rev Send, Variations Send, the possibility of assigning two Insertion Effects, you can even derive tempo from the AD INPUT as well.

Sorry we have no influence over Apple specification for Class Compliance, lobby Apple for changes there 🙂

Yes but the Ipad audio is out from the main output of the Montage and certainly is processed by the DSP / CPU of Montage 😉

Nope, not at all, afaik, the signal does not get processed, at all, by the Montage DSP or CPU, simply goes straight to the output. That's my point. I double check but it certainly does not pass through the Montages internal mixer, that's for sure.

Hi,
I want to use the montage as a down keyboard and see the screen. Can I control the montage display with the iPad. What should I do to manage the screen with iPad?

No.

Not sure, write an application that does this...??? As far as I know there are none presently.

What you can do is get the Yamaha Soundmondo App from the App Store.
With this app you can CAPTURE your Performances... each appears as a resizable badge icon (you can even import a picture for each).
You can create Set Lists - placing them in any order you desire.
When you enter a SET LIST you can recall a PERFORMANCE by touching the iPad. (This is not putting the MONTAGE display in the iPAD)... it is putting your PERFORMANCEs as MIDI bulk icons in your iPAD so that when you want to recall a program you simply tap the iPAD icon for that Performance.

Rearranging the order of a SET LIST is as easy as rearranging your icons in an iPAD
Touch and hold any Performance icon in your Set List.
They all wiggle, you can now either DELETE them or 'drag and drop' them to create a new order.
To drag and drop... while they are wiggling, touch and hold one of them, then drag it to its new location.
Let go. That easy.
Tap any of them to lock it in.
