Hi I bought a Montage 6, very happy with it!!!

Also I find the presets ('bank' sounds) very good!
Besides the factory presets, updates and the Bosendorfer, are there more presets available for Montage? Downloads?

Greetz,
Roy

Hello Roy - Easysounds have several 'Libraries' available. I bought 'Phat Analog 2' which provides a pretty good set of 'big' sounds the Montage lacks, although some experiment with those provided can produce some pretty good results. Depends what sort of sound you like, but there's plenty for everyone.

Hi Rod,

thanks for your reply!
I see now that I can buy those libraries. I'm gonna look into it and find out what is right for me.

Besides the motif XS en XF libaries, are there also new ones espicially for the Montage?
If not, I'm gonna try XS/F ones.

Thanks!

Here's a discussion: https://www.yamahasynth.com/forum/easy-sound-libraries-for-montage

There is also the Blue Man Group soundset which is available for Montage now.

https://www.yamahamusicsoft.com/sound-and-expansion-libraries/synth/blue-man-group-soundset

What's interesting is that a search with a Montage "filter" doesn't bring up the above link on yamahamusicsoft.

Searching for Montage compatible synth voice libraries on yamahamusicsoft does bring up the KApro 1-8 libraries which each claim support for Montage (use the super knob).

Easysounds has a "MONTAGE" category: http://easysounds.eshop.t-online.de/epages/Shop40690.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/Shop40690/Categories/%22Yamaha%20MONTAGE%22

Other search engine hits come up with various others claiming to do libraries targeting Montage. It's not as easy to find where to download some of them. For example, "Studio-Ron" mentions having X7L files.

Very interesting!!!

Jason I agree, there are more possibilities than I thought at first. not super easy to find.
thanks for the info! I´m gonna look into it. I´m very interested in the ´Live instruments´ library.
I could use more drum (real acoustic drum sound) arpeggio´s for example!

Chris, i would love to make my own sounds one day! I don't have much experience yet, but i understand
it is learnable. For now I can practise and start with already existing sounds
Thanks for your explanation! I will definitely give a try some day.

Reply to Jason . Hi Jason yes i create also my own new montage sound sets like several edited new multi performances and single sounds , that is wat a synthesizer is developed and design for to create you own sounds and user banks .. !! most people do forget that while the like on the motif and montage synthesizer series the standard factory presets settings are just a basic sound to can go work and design / create your own sounds with all the edit mix change effects processors engine options . !! 😉 🙁 😉
