Attached is page 229 of the manual. I want to emulate guitar downstrokes and upstrokes from the keyboard. What I highlighted in yellow from the manual is confusing me. If the UP setting will sort notes in ascending order, wouldn't that be a guitar downstroke (bass notes first)? And, if the DOWN setting will sort notes in descending order, wouldn't that be a guitar upstroke? Seems to say the reverse.....

A typical use of CHORD SORT and SEPARATE would be to turn block chords into strums… a Down stroke on a guitar for example, you would “sort” the notes so that they are read low note to high note, and you would “separate” them by 4-8 clock pulses to give the feel of a strum - one note after the other. An Up stroke would sort the notes from high note to low note and again “separate” by a few clock ticks to make the chord spray rather than hit at once.
The number of clock ticks to make a convincing up or down stroke will vary with phrasing and tempo.
