Are there any plans to make Soundmondo compatible with Android devices? I have an OTG cable to link my device but in testing, I can upload but not download patches to the site, once I have Web MIDI enabled in Chrome. On further inspection, the problem I'm having is the "SYNC" div doesn't display, as Chrome for Android does not allow Flash, and I cannot find another Android browser that supports Web MIDI. Are there any plans to reimplement this portion of the site in HTML5 or otherwise make an Android compatible app (perhaps a port of the Reface Capture iOS app)?

Hi Joe,

Among the announcements at the recent Winter NAMM show was Android support for the refaceCP/CS/DX/YC. I'm sitting here with an Android Nexus tablet, browsing and SYNC'ing my refaceDX with it as I post this now. Currently, CHROME-MIDI is a Google thing so other browsers will have to play catchup. I can do this either via a USB cable connection or via Bluetooth! (Using the new MD-BT01 Midi Bluetooth device)!

If you are signed in, and receive a green (go) "reface Connected" indication, select CREATE, the Soundmondo will "capture" your current reface settings. This allows you to upload sounds to the Soundmondo program.

The SYNC function will only light when you BROWSE and wish to audition (download) someone else's posted voice - as long as it was made for your model reface, pressing the SYNC option will synchronize your reface with the sound you are browsing. If you are using a CP/CS or YC, a front panel will appear in your browser indicating what settings you must physically change on your reface instrument to match this particular sound creation (you can play the sound immediately - if you want to learn how it was created, simply match the front panel to what you see in the browser.

If you have a DX, you will see the entire Voice editor parameter set. You can opt to manually [STORE] this to the refaceDX internal memory... Or simply keep (SAVE) it in your program - 'private' where only you can see it.

I'm new to Android world, and don't know about what you're asking. But if you will give me information on your device, Chrome version, I'll find out why you are not being successful.

I'm using a Nexus 7 (2012) and an OTG USB cable with a reface CS. I can upload using the CREATE option without any problems, but I'm not able to download any presets using the BROWSE function. There isn't a SYNC panel available in Chrome for Android, atleast none that I can see.

Hmm! It's not a panel so much as it is as button that just says "SYNC" - when clicked and you are connected with the reface it should open the panel interface for the connected model.

Does the SYNC button appear?
Try orienting your tablet to landscape view...
SYNC should appear to the right of "Create" in a box with the "reface Connected" status.
The actual SYNC function will be available when you have a Browse selection cued up.

The button does not appear, even in Landscape mode. Enclosed is a screen capture of Soundmondo, with my reface connected.

You must have a working connection established to your reface. We see you can upload so this IS curious. Make sure you're using Chrome as Chrome-MIDI is the protocol used. I'm new to Android so I'll need to make inquiries.

Hi,

Soundmondo is working well for me on Chrome Android (both Create and Sync), HOWEVER, there is a crucial use scenario it's missing, which is offline access.
Without an Internet connection, I cannot store or load voices.
My Android tablet only goes online via Wi-Fi, which is not ubiquitous.

Are there ways to make Soundmondo/reface capture functionality available offline on Android?

@Bad Mister: hi, so...you are saying that the MD-BT01 works with Android too? I'm using the OTG cable with the Reface DX and works good, I wanted to get a MD-BT01 but all infos I found talk about iOS compatibility and not Android...
Thanks in advance for your attention !
