I recently added a secondary Akai Controller to complement my MOXF 8. I have never been able to connect via USB to use my MOXF as a controller only. Had to use midi. I decided to try plugging the USB cable that came with the Akai into the MOXF - and it worked!! I tried to install the Yamaha drivers a ton of different ways. I tried 4 different USB cables. This one, even though plugged into a USB extension, has a ferrite bead on it. Is this a necessity for Yamaha keyboards? I am going to buy another to make them both work, but I gotta know if EMI is that big a deal for the board to work via USB - or if there is another difference in USB cables I don't know about that I need to make sure the cable has this time around.. Thanks much, Shep

Sorry, I don't know what you are trying to do. Sorry.
