I am not sure but maybe this arpbypass is a kind of high security lock specially for midi recording to avoid arps to be accidentally triggered???

It seems that step too not allowed from montage architecture. Once you have a midi to daw record, you cannot retrigger from the daw to get a midi arp ...

I should have say a click noise that comes from the key released and touching the case. You cannot of coarse record it from montage internal sounds.
