I love the 1:1 interface of my CP88, and I don't think it needs a full software editor. However, it would be really nice to have a simple app for rearranging the Live Sets. If you have like a 100+ Live Sets stored, and you want pick out say 8 of them (from various locations) and assign them sequentially to buttons 1-8 for your gig or jam session, it is very cumbersome to do that with the "swap" feature. Plus, that messes up the organization of your Live Sets, which means they have to be reinstalled. I would think it would be easy to program an app that would just show all the Live Sets on your keyboard and allow clicking and dragging, cutting and pasting, etc., with an "undo" or "reset" button.
Thanks for the support.
John

Thank you for the prompt response. However, as far as I can tell, neither of those options provide the simple functionality I am looking for. Perhaps I could upload all of my presets one at a time to Soundmondo, and then organize them into set lists that could be loaded back into the keyboard. But I'd rather not take the time to do that, and I'd rather not rely on a web-based app for this. With respect, Yamaha's web offerings have some - um - reliability issues (like trying to log in to this forum). I tried the free version of Camelot Pro and found it hopelessly confusing. Maybe I'm just not smart enough to use these tools. All I want is a simple program that reads all the presets on my CP88 and allows me to drag them around into a different order, so that I can use the live set buttons in the simplest possible way. Maybe it's there and I missed it?
Thanks,
John
They are not that complicated... stop by your local music store see if they are willing to help you. If you are not willing to try, we don’t know what to recommend... you can wait until you are smart enough to write your own, but get help (it will not happen without effort). Soundmondo works locally with your instrument. (You do not have to use the ‘share’ component in order to do what you requested). You simply want to manage your Live Sets.
I’d say you are missing something!
Nice attitude. I'm not the one making you work on Sunday you know.
I did, however, manage to solve my own problem. I was looking at the Soundmondo website on my desktop, and could not find a way to make it do what I wanted. But then I bought Apple's $33 USB adapter for my iphone and downloaded the Soundmondo app. That does, in fact, do the trick. And I am smart enough to use it.
So . . . thanks.
I knew you were... if you tried!
