i recently bought a CP88 to replace a CP4. one thing i cant figure out is how to control the volume of a layered part with an fc7 without affecting overall volume.

i could do this on my CP4.

open to ideas.
Thanks!
Andy

Hi Andy,

The CP88 actually has a great way to make this happen:
- go to SETTINGS
- choose CONTROLLERS
- then FOOT CONTROLLER 1 to select your expression pedal
- then ASSIGN
- now you can either use the scroll function to select the function you need, or you can just simply rotate the volume knob of the layered part for a bit to select that knob.
You will see the changes in the screen.

Exit this page, and now you can even set the low and high limits to further tune it to your needs.

Hope this was helpful.
Good luck!

Forgot to mention:

It’s great they put this in SETTINGS, for this allows you to save it in your live sets.

You can assign all the other controllers likewise.
