Unfortunately the Sustain Pedal affects all Parts of a Live Set.
It would be absolute necessary to have the ability to particulary cancel the sustain pedal in special Live Set Environments!

Only one Example:

Right Zone: Piano +Pad (Sustain Pedalling is required)
Left Zone: Bass Sound (Sustain causes layering two bass notes, absolute NoGo)

Cannot understand, why all Foot Pedals are configurable, but the Sustain not.

What do you think?

Michael

UPDATE: Version 1.2 gives the possibility of Receive SW Configuration for incoming Pedal events!
Thanks Yamaha!

Hi Michael,
The function for setting the Receive Switch (Receive Sw) was always there... version 1.2 did add some new features, but FYI, the ability to set the Foot Switch and Foot Pedal preferences were always there.

Page 36 of your Owner’s Manual:
Receive Sw- Determines whether to recognize (On) or ignore (Off) the corresponding MIDI messages received by each Voice section from external devices or the MIDI messages produced by operating a foot switch and foot controller.

Extra Credit:
Under “Settings” you will find items that are adjusted and stored on a per program (Live Set) basis.
Under “Menu” you will find items that are set globally for the instrument.

Because the Pedal status is something you’d want to setup differently depending on the sounds you are using, (split piano/bass you would turn the Sustain pedal Receive Sw = Off for the left hand Split). SETTINGS > CONTROLLERS > Receive Sw
