Hi all,
my need is to play a signle drum note (Clave, Standard Kit 1 key D#4) with my left hand while giving a PAD to the Band (Darklight).

The song is a slow ballade of the Eagles, "Love will keep us alive" 🙂

I've tryied br splitting the CP4 keyboard, but....when I edit the Split PART to change the Noteshift of the Drum Kit, I cannot move down the key assigned to the Claves (D#4); this setting only changes the pitch of the claves.

As a result, the PAD is limited from the E4 up, and I cannot reach bass notes of Darklight, even if I change the Note shift of the MAIN part, setting -24.

Any suggestion?

Set the Drum Kit as your MAIN Part, set the Darklight as you SPLIT Part. Set the Split Point to D#4.
Play the Pad across the keys up to D4, and trigger the Clave on D#4.
You can Note Shift the Pad as you require.
This may or may not work for you,...

My other suggestion would be to trigger the "Clave" using an external MIDI controller connected to the MIDI IN of your CP4 Stage. Set the Drums to the SPLIT Part and trigger it via MIDI across its full range on Channel 3...

It's a good idea! Thank you Bad Mister!
