Hi greetings!

I have a MOTIF RACK ES which i have used as a sound module for logic pro x. Now i wish to use it for my live gig. so i was wondering if there was any way to trigger patch changes from an external midi like the launchpad for example. I need to press a pad (in the midi controller) and must be able to change the patch in motif. This way i can assign multiple patches to different pads to recall them in a live performance. so far from my knowledge there are 3 messages - MSB, LSB and PC needed to change a patch and i have noted all the values i need from the manual. I do not know how to assign a key or button in my controller (running in logic pro) to send these values (msg,lsb,pc) to my motif rack es.

If you needed information on the MSB, LSB and PC for your Motif-Rack ES, you came to the right place.

I do not know how to assign a key or button in my controller

Neither do we. For details on how to use your controller you need to be asking the makers of that controller. Sorry, but we don’t even know the capabilities of the controller you are using.

Maybe someone who uses one will know how to input data or even if you can. Does the company have a support site?

Im sorry if my question was silly. I actually want to use the motif es rack to my live gig setup. So is there any way i can change patches easily? maybe using a midi controller? It is not practical to scroll though each patch when playing live. Is there any other way? Like my other keyboards like s950 have one touch settings and assignable keys to change patches easily

Yes every program in the Motif-Rack ES can be recalled by a Bank Select (MSB/LSB) and Program Change.

For example, say you wanted to recall Multi 001
MSB = 63, LSB 65, PC 0-127

63/65/0
