I bought a Motif ES6 to replace my battered one i bought a long time ago.
This old one had DIMM cards installed, so I took them out and put them in the newer keyboard.
When I go to load my songs though, the keyboard freezes. I restart the board and try again but same result.
What do you think is the problem?

There is no way to tell exactly what the problem is from just your description... there are too many unknowns. If you put the DIMMs back in the older unit, do they still work?
That will at least eliminate whether or not they went bad.
What you can’t know is if the DIMMs slots in the newer one work.
DIMMs do go bad, are they inserted properly, do all the pins look good/broken,...
If you can, verify the DIMMs.
