I'd like to create two scenes using the same three parts, except scene 2 would add a phaser.  How can I achieve this?

Hello,

Scenes recall send levels for Performance Common effects. If the phaser is assigned as a variation effect you could just increase the send level. If it is a Part Insertion effect A/B, you could duplicate the Part and save the Scene with Keyboard control ON when you want to use the Part with the Phaser and OFF when you don't. So:

  1. Take the three Part Performance. Let's say the Part 3 is the Part you want the Phaser ON but it currently doesn't have that as one of it's Inserton effect. Copy Part 3 to Part 4 (Press and Hold [SHIFT] and press [EDIT] to bring up the Part copy screen)
  2. Edit Part 4 and add a Phaser to one of the insertion effects A or B.
  3. Make sure you have Kbd Ctrl turned on in your Scene recall.
  4. Save a Scene with Part 3 Keyboard Control ON (the Part without the phaser) and Part 4 OFF when you want to play the sound sans Phaser.
  5. Next save a Scene with Part 3 Keyboard Control OFF and Part 4 ON when you want to play the sound sans Phaser.

Does this make sense?

I like to set things up with Keyboard Control on/off because you can just recall the Performance and the Scene with Phaser off and when you want to switch the Phaser one buy selecting the next scene it will simply engage the Phaser without cutting off the previous sound all within a Performance.

LMK if this helps!
