Two weeks into my new MODX 8. It's a seriously good piece of kit, although it will take a few months to get fully familiar with it. Shame that work gets in the way !
Anyway, thought I should have a go at MIDI recording on Cubasis LE which is on my Ipad and connected to the MODX.
The splash screen on Cubasis tells me "to unlock all Cubasis LE features please connect a supported device". This I have done, but it takes me no further and I am left to use demo mode with the 30 minute time limit.
I am connecting to an Ipod pro with IOS version 12.4
My MODX is connected with a usb cable and Apple camera kit to the ipad
In the utility menu of the MODX I have enabled the Quick Set Up tab "MIDI rec on DAW.
The connection seems fine as I can hear the sample track on Cubasis coming through the MODX and connected speakers.
Have you any ideas why Cubasis LE is not recognizing my connected MODX?
David

MODX is not one of the devices which unlocks Cubasis LE. Therefore, Cubasis LE is appropriately running in demo mode as designed. You can preview the features with a time limit and elect to purchase Cubasis to get rid of the time limit.
Except for your (incorrect) interpretation of results, you seem to have described normal operation with no issue recognizing your MODX.
I have a MD-BT01, which is a supported unlock device. I was able to unlock Cubasis LE using this device but ultimately purchased Cubasis 2 during the Cubase Anniversary sales. If you dig around your studio and find a device in the "compatible hardware" list - you can connect one of those to unlock and still use along with MODX.

Thanks Jason. Schoolboy error! I assumed that because MODX was a supported device for Cubase it would similarly be so for Cubasis LE. A quick look at Steinberg's website would have put me right.
Kind regards,
