Hi, I just created another topic asking for tutors. Unfortunately, the tutor who answered knows Cubase but not Logic Pro.
I am willing to pay to learn this - does anybody out there know how to record MIDI and AUDIO from the MODX+ to Logic Pro? I have successfully connected the MODX to use to control Logic sounds, but I can't figure out how to record audio FROM the MODX (I know you can do this through a separate audio interface, but I was hoping to be able to do this simply using the USB connecting cord.
Thanks!
Hello,
Have you download and installed the Yamaha Steinberg USB driver? That is the first step when connecting USB MIDI and Audio to Logic. Download it and install, then connect USB from MODX to the compute and select MODX as your audio interface. Start there and let us know!
How does one do this with Logic Pro on an iPad? Or indeed any iOS DAW?
iOS wouldn't involve any drivers. My iPad supports Cubasis 3 but doesn't support Logic Pro. Therefore, I can't help directly.
I'm sure you're well beyond this, but the basics would be to set MODX to USB Midi mode and connect the right cable between your iPad and the MODX's USB TO HOST port.
Beyond that, someone else will need to help. Best I could do is connect to Garage Band.

Hi, i'm using Cubase but for Moessieurs website i have link all SoundsAndGear and Kier Darby You Tube videos about using Logic Pro X, hope it can help you :
Assuming you already downloaded the Steinberg driver, create an audio track and select a sound on the MODX. Then hit record on the track . When done make sure the record button is turned off. As far as MIDI, you must set up a performance with the sounds you want to use for recording. Select create MIDI track. Use MODX CONNECT to store the performance with your song.
