All Cubase AI and Cubase LE customers (version 4 or higher) will be able to update to the latest version free of charge shortly after the Cubase 12 release in March 2022.How does it work?
Eligible Cubase AI and Cubase LE customers will receive an email with a new Download Access Code within four to six weeks after the official release of Cubase 12.Cubase AI and Cubase LE customers who are not registered yet will be able to apply for the update on a dedicated landing page to receive the Download Access Code.
The Download Access Code must be entered in the Steinberg Download Assistant to add the new license to the MySteinberg/Steinberg ID account of the customer.
Customers will then be able to activate Cubase AI 12 and Cubase LE 12 on up to three computers.
From a different post by @Dragos:
I explored a bit, since the Cubase AI 12 update showed up in my inbox.
Why it did not show up in my inbox yet 🙁 ?
Is it being sent in batches?
I got a message forever ago. I haven't acted on it - but glad to see it seems to be sent to any registered of Cubase AI at least 9 and above. I say that because I have AI9 currently. The announcement may reach back further.
Current Yamaha Synthesizers: Montage Classic 7, Motif XF6, S90XS, MO6, EX5R

I got the email on 31st of March, for an AI 11 license that I activated just few days after Cubase 12 launched (hoping to get that so I can test the MIDI remote thing). It still activated as 11 and I got the mail some weeks later.
