How do I transpose the keys for parts in a split performance?

I need to use several sounds across the keyboard for a single performance on my MODX88. I want to use the lower end of the keyboard to play high-pitched strings. On my Roland Fantom X this is easy since there is a keyboard offset you can apply to a part. I can't find the equivalent on the MODX. I think the term I'm looking for is the 'transpose' the part, so that the keys actually work as if they were higher or lower on the keyboard for a part.

The user manual suggests to modify the pitch via "note shift", but this only allows for +/- 24 semitones...

So, how do I transpose the keyboard for a specific part on the MODX?

No, not transpose. "Note Shift".

Note Shift is the answer, and yes, it's limited to +/- 24 semitones. However, I believe you can edit the elements inside the sound to shift the pitch as well, and cumulatively, that can get you more than 24 semitones of shift. Since each Performance maintains its own copy of each sound, altering the pitches of the elements within the sound in that Performance will only affect the sound in that Performance, it will not affect the pitch of that string patch in other Performances where you may be using the same sound, so it's "safe" to do. (And if you do want the pitch-shifted version in other Performances as well, you can copy your modified version to use it in other Performances as well.)

Call up your Performance. You want to edit the individual Part parameters (not the whole keyboard) so you must navigate to Part Edit parameters. Here’s how:
Press [EDIT]
Press [PART SELECT - MUTE/SOLO]
Select the Part you want to Edit first... Part 1
Touch “X” to clear the pop-in menu

In the lower left corner of the screen you should see “Part 1” and “Common” in blue
Touch “Part Settings” > “Pitch” > adjust the ”Note Shift” parameter... +/-12 semitones = 1 Octave
To switch to the next Part touch the “Part 1” in the lower left corner of the screen to view the pop-up options.

Note Shift the Parts as you require
Press [STORE]
