I love my MODX - my stage rig has gone from two Motif's a 6 and a 7 and have gone to the single MODX 7 - my question is - I love it so much, I'm going to get a 2nd one (for just in case). Can I drop the patches on my current 7 to the new one? If so - can I get a step by step direction.

Save an X8A file on your old MODX, then load that file into the new one. Now everything in both is identical.

1) Turn on old MODX, be sure to insert a USB stick into the "To Device" port. USB stick (aka flash drive) is needed to save your backup file.
2) Press [UTILITY] button
3) Touch menu "Contents" -> "Store/Save"
4) Touch "Content Type", choose "Backup File"
5) Name the file something - maybe add date in name
from the new MODX:
6) Turn on the new MODX, move the USB stick from the old keyboard to the new one
7) [UTILITY] "Contents" -> "Load"
8) Touch the USB stick, find the file you just saved and touch it. Should load your backup. After load - both keyboards are completely identical in content and settings.
