MODX sends MIDI data to MIDI OUT even when performance has no zone defined

Hello,

I am using MODX with an external organ expander that is controlled thanks to the zone definition in the first part of my performance. But I have other performances where the expander is not used, and all my parts only use internal sounds. Still, data is sent to the MIDI OUT socket, and my expander plays the notes that are supposed to be played only by the internal parts.

How can I make sure that no data is sent via the MIDI Out socket unless I choose to do so by defining a zone?

Thanks,

Pierre

You would need to use zone control and set the transmit channel to OFF.

The default is for Parts to transmit MIDI since all of the preset Performances are programmed this way without a way to alter this except to create user Performances and customize zone settings.

Current Yamaha Synthesizers: Montage Classic 7, Motif XF6, S90XS, MO6, EX5R
