Hi,
Let's say I want to record a couple of multi part performances as midi in Cubase and then play them back at the same time.
No problem recording the first performance and dissolve the performance to separate midi tracks.
But how can I record a second performance without messing up the first? As a performance can contain up to 16 midi parts, can I somehow copy a second performance and mix it with the first and just mute the midi channels om the first performance or should I record the first performance as audio first?
Thanks

I think I overcomplicated this whole thing 😀
It was actually a lot simpler then I thought. It was just a matter of open a new performance from one of the empty part in the first one.
I thought I could only add single part instruments to a performance, but no problem adding another multi-part performance.
I then just created corresponding tracks in Cubase, like 4 tracks for performance 1 on midi channel 1-4 and another set of tracks for the second performance on midi channel 5-8 and so on.
