HI there,
I have read about this before and know the solution is somewhere in an article or video...
I am having the issue where I have created a pattern linked to a performance, however when I pull up the performance from the Live Set page and go to play the pattern, the pattern which appears is not the "Linked " pattern.
I then scroll through the patterns and eventually get to the right pattern, which does appear as the blue "linked" pattern and the performance in question is named in the adjacent box.
I believe I have been doing the "Save pattern and performance settings" routine, but must be missing something.
I recall there have been some updates on this with the firmware updates, in terms of accessing patterns to linked performances and how they appear in the LIVE SET menus...
The Performance can be recalled independent of the Pattern.
It is context sensitive. This means, if you are on the Performance HOME screen when you execute the [SHIFT] + [LIVE SET] function, just the Performance is setup in your User Live Set.
If, however, you are on the “Play/Rec” > “Pattern” screen of a Performance, where the ‘chain link’ appears indicating a ‘stored’ Performance, when you execute the [SHIFT] + [LIVE SET] function, the Pattern and the Performance get setup in your User Live Set.
If, additionally, you are looking at the Pattern screen, with a linked Performance and a Chain is active, the PATTERN CHAIN will be setup to the Live Set if you press [SHIFT] + [LIVE SET]
If you are in the “Play/Rec” area with a “MIDI Song“ or “Audio“ (streaming a .wav from a USB stick), when you engage [SHIFT] + [LIVE SET] ... then those will be linked to the User Live Set. Your “Live Set” slot will indicate the link to the Performance, the Pattern, the Chain, the Song, or the .wav file.
So basically, it depends on the current status — press [SHIFT] + [LIVE SET] when you want to document what is recalled by the Live Set.
Some of these features were added in version 2.0 and updated in version 2.5
Thanks BM! All fixed now !
