I have performances that each contain a drum part. I also have a Yamaha expression pedal in Foot controller 1. I'd like to be able to raise and lower the overall volume of all parts except for the drum part which needs to be constant to be heard by the rest of the band. Can this be done?

Yes.
Call up your Performance
Press [EDIT]
Select your Drum Part
Touch “Mod/Control” > “Receive SW”
Find the box “Vol/Exp” and turn it OFF
[STORE] your Performance.
