I have a MODX7, firmware 2.5.2, connected to an iPhone13 Pro running iOS 15.1, from USB Host Port through Camera to lightning adapter. I selected MODX on the Soundmondo app (latest version), and can tap a performance from the Montage set, and it will download and I can play it. The connection icon is green. But, the keyboard's performances and live set are not displayed on the App and I thought they were suppose to be? Is there something I need to do? I want to use this app to re-arrange my live set. Any help appreciated.
Thanks, Warren

No, that’s not how it works at all. A Performance will appear in the App only if you have “Captured” it with the iOS device. “Capture” is very much one-at-a-time.
You rearrange your Soundmondo “SET LIST” in the iOS device.
You rearrange your MODX “LIVE SET” in the MODX.
_You can rearrange the Performances that you captured in the App. In the Soundmondo App the arrangement of Performance is referred to as the “Set List”. Totally separate function. Each has its own set of rule of engagement. The App allows you to store your Performances offline - you bulk them to the MODX when you need them. The App is a quick way to view your Performances and access them.
_The LIVE SET feature is found on the hardware MODX, and is a convenient way to assemble the programs (Performances, Songs, Patterns, and Audio Files) you may wish to access. You can program a Foot Switch to advance through the most recently selected LIVE SET.
The Live Set lets you conveniently put in order the programs you will be using… rather than hunting through the 7,987 potential Performances you might have in your MODX, the 128 Songs, the 128 Patterns, and all the .wav audio files you may have on a USB stick … you can pre-select the ones you wish to use by generating a Live Set Bank. Each User Bank has 256 Slots.
The question for you is, do you want to use the App’s “Set List” when you are on-stage, or would you want to use the MODX’s “Live Set” when your on-stage. Two different ways of accomplishing the same goal.
Soundmondo App — using the iOS device to recall Performances
Preparation:
When connected to your MODX, you can “Capture” the current Performance. This will be stored on your iOS device.
You can fashion your captured Performances into various “Set List” combinations… which you can Name.
You can keep several variations on board the device.
To add (+) a ‘captured’ Performance to a “Set List” - you touch the very bottom of the icon representing the Performance (where the Name and “>” (chevron) appear… the icon that looks like an open book with a “+” sign is how you Add a Performance to a “Set List”. Tap that…
Assemble your various Set Lists. (See the App’s Manual for details).
In Use: Reorganizing a Set List
When you want to access a Set List, simply tap “Set List” from the App’s main screen, recall the Set List you want to reorganize.
Tap and hold the icon you wish to move, all icons will respond by showing the red Delete button… Do not Delete (unless that is your goal) -while in this state you can simply “drag” the icon to the location in the list that you want. The icons will automatically make room when you “drop” the icon into place.
In the App, you can resize the icons using two fingers, by pinching or expanding.
To use the Soundmondo App on stage, you simply tap the Performance you wish to play - Soundmondo will send it directly to your MODX’s edit buffer where you can play it.
Live Set - Creating a Live Set on the MODX hardware
Preparation:
Recall a Performance, a Midi Song (linked to a Performance, a Pattern (linked to a Performance) or a (USB stick) Audio file (located on a connected USB stick);
Press [SHIFT] + [LIVE SET] to register this program to the most recently selected LIVE SET Bank.
You will be taken to one of eight User “Live Set” Banks… where the white cursor outline will be flashing around one of 16 slots found on each of the Live Set PAGEs.
Tap the slot you wish to place this item in your Live Set. If the slot is empty, it will be a new entry and its information will appear in that slot. If the slot is occupied you will replace the previous item.
In Use: Reorganizing a Live Set
Once you have placed your program in the Live Set, you can tap “EDIT”
You can “Copy” it to another location, you can “Swap” it with other program slots.
There is no ‘insert’ function, simply add your program to an empty slot, then use “Swap” to move your selection to the appropriate location.
There are 16 PAGES of 16 Slots, (256) in each User “Live Set” Bank
There are 8 separate Use Live Set Banks.
Hope that helps.
It's a great help, thank you very much, it's exactly what I needed to know! This app is more powerful than I realized. Maybe we'd be better off retitling this thread "How to Use Soundmondo with your MODX or Montage".
