I finally loaded the data file for the B's Knees, this time with the voices included. I loaded them into a Library slot. They are mixed in with other voices unless I further filter the Performance Category with Organ and Tone Wheel (another pearl of knowledge I had to uncover myself). That segregates them finally into one definable bank that comprises the B's Knees voices.
This is because the XF used a system where there were “placeholder” Voices in the USER Bank so all 512 Normal and all 32 Drum Kit slots were occupied. The DCP B’s Knees occupied just 128 of the Normal Voices... the rest are repeats of the factory Voices.
MODX does not use “placeholder”... so the initial condition of your User Bank is 0/640
What you will want to do is use the “Library Import” feature to *select* and then Import just the 128 DCP programs to the USER BANK.
If you go to [UTILITY] > “Contents” > “Library Import” > open the Library, find the DCP organs (when you locate the first one they will be listed in a row) mark them and import them to your User Bank. You can add these to others you have currently in your USER — Idea being, you are going to create your own .X8L File (this time with data in it!j
Once you have assembled them in the User Bank you can SAVE as LIBRARY FILE.
DELETE the one you loaded, and install your new Library File.
OK, thanks, I'll try that.
