I have reached the point when I must ask for your expert advice. Since I installed Cubase 10.5 Pro several days ago, I have been unable to record MIDI signals from the Montage onto the Cubase DAW. I carefully followed the steps provided by Yamaha Product Specialist Phil "Bad Mister" Clendeninn on the Yamaha Synth Forum site entitled "Mastering Montage: Getting Started With Cubase" ( https://yamahasynth.com/learn/montage/mastering-montage-getting-started-cubase). I also successfully set up my Cubase platform by following the Mastering Montage YouTube videos by Bad Mister. I can even see the green vertical signal indicator light moving whenever I attempt to record onto the Cubase DAW (picture included)..

I have also noticed that I cannot get the default vertical transport bars back onto my default screen. If you could help me restore this setting as it is in your Mastering Montage YouTube video-Part 2 as seen at marker 1.12/7.17, I would be most so relieved and can stop spinning my wheels in frustration as well.

I have included 3 pictures to help illustrate my issues. (1) shows my screen missing the vertical transport bars
(2) shows the correct vertical transport bars and All MIDI Inputs from Bad Mister's Yamaha-Montage YouTube video, and
(3) shows my Cubase 10.5 Pro MIDI track screen with the vertical green indicator light signal present

Thank you so much for any recommendations that you can offer me at this point.
Sincerely,
Cal

Is this what you mean? Transport bar?

Or do you mean the vertical lines in the project window? This is showing only one measure because you are in maximum zoom. I can see this because of the zoom slider in the lower-right of the project window. See this for multiple ways to zoom in/out:

Good Morning Jason.
Thank you for helping me solve the frustrating problem I was having with the vertical lines in the project window. Your assessment was indeed correct. Somehow, I had inadvertently maximized the zone between measures in my project window. I followed the links that you provided, viewed the content which was exactly what you had pointed out, and solved my problem. It worked perfectly!

Thank you so much for helping me with this issue and expanding my overall understanding of the Cubase platform. I hope to also hear soon how to finally get MIDI signals to record on my Cubase DAW.
Take care,
Cal

After trying a few more things this morning, I did also get Cubase 10.5 PRO to finally record MIDI signals from my Montage. I did it by switching the MIDI Track selector from "2-Montage-1" to "2-Montage-3". I included one screenshot of this new setting. As a result, I can now record MIDI signals from the Montage to the Cubase 10.5 Pro DAW. It's good to have the experts on our forum here though to consult with in times of frustration.
Thanks again,
Cal

2-Montage-3

FYI - the "2-" in the above is just the OS's way of keeping track of which driver it's talking to. Using Windows, it's easy to end up with multiple instances of a driver. So, for all intensive purposes, you ignore anything BEFORE "Montage" (like this "2-" ). The useful number is after "Montage". The "-1", "-2", or "-3".

"-1" is Port 1. Port 1 targets your Montage's internal tone generator, internal Parts, etc.

"-3" is Port 3. Port 3 targets the external 5-pin DIN port. Sending/receiving MIDI to/from Port 3 will target the 5-pin DIN connected devices.

"-2" is Port 2. This is reserved for DAW remote control messages.
