Hi, I was wondering which will be the preferred method of connecting ios devices. The i-MX1 or the UD-WL01? Thanks.

Hi Christopher,
The connectors you choose, and you do have a choice, will depend on the generation of your iOS device and what you wish to communicate.
The iMX-1 and the iUX-1 are MIDI only and connect to a 30-pin iOS connector.
The UD-WL01 is a wifi LAN device and does not work with Montage. (It's designed for Clavinova, Tyros5, Motif XF)
Since the Montage is fully class compliant (MIDI and audio) the simplest thing is to get a USB cable and Lightning-to-USB adapter. That's quick and easy and will let you communicate both MIDI and audio bi-directionally.
