I am a new Montage M user. I have searched quite a bit but have been unable to find any information on whether I can delete or replace multiple parts simultaneously or if I actually have to delete each part one by one.
Say that I have a performance with parts 1-3 filled. I then press the + icon on part 4 and select a string performance that has 4 parts. Montage will merge this so that in my performance parts 1-3 will be as I had them and now parts 4 - 7 will be filled with the four parts from that string performance. Now, perhaps I play around for a bit and decide I do not like that string performance that I chose and I want to delete parts 4 - 7. Is there any way to do this all at once rather than having to delete each one by one?
Alternatively, imagine that instead of deleting parts 4 - 7 I decide that I want to try a different string performance, this one with let's say 5 parts, from the category search and use that instead of the one I just put into 4 - 7. I can use the part category search to replace part 4 with one of the parts from this new string performance, but is there a way to simply replace parts 4 - 7 (and fill 8) with that new string performance instead?
Hi, you delete parts one by one, press on a part on left column that appears press delete.
Hope that's help
You could delete one by one or, with some planning ...
If Parts 1-3 is a user Performance (not a Preset) the. [STORE] this before merging so you can just recall this without the need to delete anything.
Then "deleting" Parts 4-7 would be just a matter of recalling up this 3 Part Performance.
When you merge, [STORE] this as a new Performance name.
If Parts1-3 are a preset Performance then you could just recall this original preset without the need to first [STORE] it.

No - it is NOT possible to delete or replace multiple parts at once.

That functionality isn't currently available. There is no way to select multiple parts and there is no 'Job' functionality for performances that could allow this.
There is also no way to 'collapse' the remaining parts to eliminate the gap that results when you delete a part from the middle of other parts. So when you delete part 4 your performance will now have active parts in slots 1,2,3,5,6,7 with 4 now being available.
Leaving the part 4 slot empty isn't really an issue since the order of the parts isn't important. The only restriction is that you can NEVER delete part 1 even if there are other parts. A performance must always have a part 1. So you would need to replace part 1 with some other part by either copying an existing part to slot 1 or using category search and selecting another part.
If, for some reason, you wanted to eliminate the gap you would need to MOVE one of the other parts to slot 4.

No - currently you can only replace one part at a time. The only case where you can add ALL of the parts of a different performance is when you select an empty slot in the current performance AND there are no parts with a higher part number.
In that case the first option on the 'Source' dropdown on the Category Search screen will be 'All'.
