Hello,
My Montage 8 is a second hand synth, still under guarantee. I have the original bill.
I have the manual ... and that's all.
Parsing this forum, I've discovered that a free Cubase AI version was delivered with it.
How to do now?
The vendor didn't taold me anything, of course!
Thanks for your help.
Best regards,
François
François,
You can download Cubase 8 AI here: https://new.steinberg.net/cubase/ai/
Download and install the software. When prompted, enter the activation code. You should have received a yellow paper with your Montage manuals with the activation code for Cubase AI.
If all that fails, be honest with Cubase support explaining your situation and see if they will send you an AI license.
Not entirely related, but FYI, I am in the cusp of upgrading to Cubase Pro in order to gain some of the missing tempo track features in AI. The upgrade has had better promotions in recent past (40% off) so I'm hoping stalling will beat fruit.

FWIW Cubase upgrade sales are typically in July
Upgrade sale is, potentially, cheaper (if 40% did come back - no telling). Boxed Cubase 10 is compelling to buy a box and CDs and jewel cases for about $145 (premium over the hypothetical upgrade sale).
I checked through my cross-grade potentials and came up short there.
