Title: MONTAGE: Where did the name MONTAGE come from?
Description: The word "montage" is commonly used as a movie editing technique combining multiple video shot perspectives into a continuous cut. It is also used as a photographic technique, combining various picture fragments into a single image.
Seems more like a definition than a reason why the name was selected. No ties to anything audio/music related. Just thought this was funny and passing it along.

Sounds like an accurate description of the development philosophy of the Montage.
I like it when companies don't insult the reader's intelligence. It is rare today, and I find it funny to see it generates complaints.
Would you feel it would be a better description of the "reason" if they'd added pointless stuff like "since Montage allows you to use different perspectives and techniques bla bla ..."
I find it funny to see it generates complaints.
I don't see ANYTHING in the post that sounds like a 'complaint'.
Seems to me to be just an observation. Even the title suggests that.

Then you need to look again.
