Hi everyone

How do I assign the volume of a part to aftertouch? I want to do this specifically with aftertouch.
Is it possible to assign the volume and filter cutoff to aftertouch simultaneously?

Thanks

Here is how you assign a Part’s Volume to Aftertouch (if your Performance has more than one Part under KBD CTRL you will need to repeat it for each Part you wish to control)

From the HOME screen
Press [EDIT]
Press [PART SELECT 1]
Touch “Part Settings” > “General”
Move the cursor to highlight “Volume”
Set the Volume to the value that you want to reflect the minimum... in other words, if you want to control 100% of the Volume with AT, Set the Volume minimum = 0
While the cursor highlights the Volume = 0 press the [CONTROL ASSIGN] button.
You will arrive on a screen that asks you to activate the Controller to which you wish to assign control...
Strike a key and apply Aftertouch.

You will be taken to the Control Assign screen where you can now program the Curve, Polarity, Ratio, and shape the application of this assignment.

If you wish to add Filter Cutoff to this you can simply repeat the above creating a new Control Set, or since you are already at the Control Assign screen, press “+” to ADD a new Destination. Set the Source = Aftertouch, Destination = Element > Cutoff (you can opt out on Filter Control on a per Element basis, initially all Elements are included (green)). If the Part is FM-X the routine is a little different as the Filter is applied to the entire FM-X Part.

Every time you explain something to me, it just makes so much sense ! What an awesome machine !

No doubt, I will be back with more questions ! 🙂

Awsome support here !
