I am not that tech saavy and just skirt around superficially on the Montage. I can edit tones and such but thats about it so far. Our band wants to play Feels Like The First Time by Forgeiner. Can someone please help me to know how to program that intro arpeggiated tone on the Montage. Thank you!
First, take the phrase you want turned into an arpeggio and write the notes down on paper (i.e. "figure out the notes"). See if there is a repeated section where the same pattern repeats. This can be your arpeggio. To me, "Feels Like The First Time" has a stringy part that repeats over and over and keeps the same notes through chord changes. Therefore, the ARP should be simple.
Second, use a DAW or some music notation software to enter the phrase into the computer. Save this as a MIDI file.
Then, transfer the MIDI file to your Montage using either a USB stick or use Montage Connect's feature to transfer songs. I would use the USB stick myself.
Load the MIDI file into the recorder then use the "to ARP" feature to convert the MIDI file to an arpeggio. This is where you can use guides available (tutorials) to determine what settings you should use. For this one - you can even use "Fixed".
