Hi!
I get the HUI can not communicate with your controller message when i try to setup Montage as a HUI peripheral device in Protools 2018.7 OSX 10.13.3. Montage Firmware 2.5.
USB connected. Everything by the book but no cigar. What could possble be wrong here - it should work right? Do I need to make adjustments to the Montage Controller in Midi Setup?
I cannot see why. Installed the latest Steinberg USB driver. Just wanna use the remote control of the DAW from the keyboard.
Please advice!

Can you do the same thing with MODX and protools 12?

The MODX does not have the Remote Control layer found in the MONTAGE, so, no, you cannot.
