I have a couple of friends that are sound engineers. They have one and said that its seems to be a hardware limitation. Who knows. It is odd that BM is choosing NOT to address this which is probably due to the wrench it would throw in the marketing tidal wave plan.......
Issue has been addressed version 1.11.x
(Future firmware updates, due in the Fall, will support VST/AU Connect.)

Shhhh! I try to get you good information from the source, (not your friends) - really, you spend time pondering my reaction? Please leave this to those who can get you good information... At least I try my best.
I've just updated the OS and tested the CFX Concert (the big issue for me) and can confirm that the latency issue has been resolved.
BRAVO Yamaha for dealing with this so promptly! 🙂
Also great to read about the timetable for VST/AU Connect release!
Lawrence
PS - thanks BM for passing along this concern to the EO (Engineering Overlords).

Your efforts are greatly appreciated! Please know that.
I've just sent off some messages to some colleagues (whom have not yet drunk the MONTAGE cool aide) stating how impressive it is for a large company like Yamaha to be so response to users needs, and the benefits of being able to interact directly with a company representative.
PS - One of the them messaged back that they thought the screen name "Bad Mister" was the best ever. Ha!
Yep. The update solved the latency issue, at least on CFX Concert and CP80. At least to a, now playable latencytiming.
Very impressive customer support though, through Bad Mister who keeps us updated . I'm looking forward for more firmware updates of this class.
Very Nice BM!! I will now mention the name " Bad Mister" to my son and tell him that you are indeed a super hero!
I haven't seen this quick of a response to an issue in 27 years. Good work!
Some patches could need some further tweaking though, to really get them spot on. Or if it is individual samples like the top register of the CFX Concert performance, or for example the entire performance of "SuperDynoChorusAmp" and "The TX816 E.Piano 2" needs some tweaking. Among some others.
But, the interim update that now has been released, shows us consumers that Yamaha has acknowledged the issue, and I hope that they do som further tweaks and fixes to get this synth to fly high. Kudos to Yamaha to say "Hey we have a problem with our new product", instead of ignoring it totally, like some other brands have done. I really appreciate it.
Credit where credit is due! I say double his salary. 🙂
