On my montage 8, the built-in piano samples sound great and full. But whenever I would import a new piano samples from online, they never sound similar to the demos. The sounds are like "radio" as if the high shelf has been boosted by +20 or something type of sound. At first I just thought its because the sellers EQ and put effects to sound good through an audio interface or something. I am currently running the piano through a redial which is connected to a snake and into a mixer. I'm hearing the sound from my in-ears monitor. Compared to the built-in sound, any imported piano samples just sound awful. Recently I installed the free bosendorfer piano library for montage 8, I listened to the demos and they sounded beautiful. When I played them on my montage.... straight up awful. Taking off EQ and whatever did not help. Is there a way to fix this? Please help!
I currently have the "Bozy" promotional set installed on my Montage. I haven't really used it much - that may indicate some bias against it. I'm not sure that I have though the Bosendorfer as inferior sound-quality-wise as you describe.
What's your Montage's sampling rate setting?
Not that it means much, but several years ago a few have objectively said good things about their experience with Bosendorfer:

... I wasn't searching for praise, though. I was searching for past critique. Here's one:

Unlike the American Grand set (3rd party) - there doesn't seem to be a lot of discussion about problems with the Bosendorfer. That doesn't mean there isn't something going on here - I just expected to find more "dirt".
Current Yamaha Synthesizers: Montage Classic 7, Motif XF6, S90XS, MO6, EX5R
Did you ever resolve your problem...?
Because every Bosendorfer install I have heard sounds fantastic.
