ust spotted the new MODX7, which seems to be a Montage with only 4 faders/knobs instead of 8, but barely over a third of the price of a Montage. Water under the bridge now, but a simplified version might have suited me better. On the other had, it gives me hope for a simplified version of the Genos to go with my now irreplaceable Montage.
There's a long legacy of "MO" siblings to the flagship synth or workstation (previously Motif, now Montage). MODX follows in the legacy.
Genos, which is of Tyros lineage, has the PSR series as the sibling. The PSR S975 is the latest and most fully-featured PSR arranger keyboard. For a comparison of the various PSR keyboards: https://pianoandsynth.com/yamaha-psr-s-series-comparison-12-models/
