I can't find where the quick edit offsets are anymore for the common voice or parts. They used to be under the motion control tab - but they're no longer there. I understand we have quick edit capability for each part, but that's not the same as the offsets on the old Montage. I just got my Montage M8x today - the workflow is really great but it's different and will take a little time for me to adjust to.
I think I see - the quick edits (offsets) are available through the quick edit button and then on the small screen above the knobs. Like I said, it's going to take a little getting used to even though greatly improved.
The action on the M8x is very light - makes it great as an all-round keyboard for piano and synth/organ. I'm going to try to gig with it once Camelot is updated with the M8x instrument definition despite it's 63 lb heft. Love the analog engine - it's impressive. I think Yamaha did a great job with the M8x.
Not versed on what everything is called yet - but to the right of the knobs is an [ASSIGN] button and then on the left there's a button that has a couple of labels on it. I know "Groove" is on the bottom. I think pressing this button would put the knobs into a mode of doing some of these offsets. Yes, the screen above the knobs is going to be a big help. Page through as there may be more than 8 knobs per selected mode.

Yes - use the Quick Edit button to select either 'Selected Part' or 'Multi Part'. Then use the Page buttons to the left of the small display to access all of the parameters.
You can also use the Page Jump button to the right of the small display to display the parameters on the large screen.

You got that right! I'm spending most of my time learning how to do things I already knew how to do before but are done differently now.

That is the Quick Edit button. That bottom choice is 'Groove' and the top two are 'Selected Part' and 'Multi Part'.
Thanks! By the way, Yamaha did listen to us about part transposition. There's new zone parameters for octave shift (+/- 3) and transpose (+/- 11), in addition to the common part pitch parameter note shift (+/- 24). Thank you Yamaha! I'm really blown away by the Montage M.
How is this different than the Montage classic?
... and note shift was already previously under part common -> pitch settings.
