Montage M - what 'key repetition behaviour' is Yamaha referring to?

Also, according to the patent and also you see this is some literature for the Yamaha (simulated/hybrid) grand pianos that had this technology previously - although there is a continuous scan there are 4-5 thresholds (depending on your interpretation of the literature) implemented. "Continuous" is part of the equation but in practice only certain thresholds are digitized in order to help simplify what's on the other end of this sensor. That's not to say that more sampling points couldn't be made -- it's only firmware or FPGA code or ...
