Hi,

There is some common samples between the Montage and PSR / Tyros expansion packs

My question is: the quality of these samplels are derived from PSR (compressed) or TYROS (un compressed)

Regards

Interesting, comparrison between these two....

I noticed over years Tyros slowly moving towards workstations
And now Montage moving away from workstations..

The next Tyros could as well move even more into workstation land
As the Montage certainly leaves room for the Tyros line to do so

Which makes for a workstation with onboard arranger functionallity
And leaves room for a new high en PSR fully arranger and in between the Tyros 6 and the 970

I think replacing the L1, R1, R2, R3 with a montage like performance would mean a huge step up for the tyros line
Also there would be room onboard for pattern mode and more..

Tyros line is always a step a head when acoustic instruments concerned.

But Leon's answer is not so accurate regarding the amount of memory when talking sample quality, since there are 2 sources or more.

look at the amount of memory used in KORG OASYS/Krome Piano and for the other hundred sounds implemented...
