I am new to Montage. A patch I have is off by a semitone but just this patch. not globally.
How do I correct it?

How do I correct it?[/quotePost]Welcome to YamahaSynth!
In order to get into the spirit of the MONTAGE learning curve, you need to get into the terminology. This will reinforce your skills as you start to get to know your way around. Also when you need to look something up in the Reference Manual (pdf) it helps to have the correct term. A search for “Patch” will yield nothing. And although we know what you mean, the search/find function of your pdf reader, does not.
The MONTAGE is always in Performance Mode. A Performance can be made up of from one to sixteen Parts.
A Part is either an AWM2 (sample-based) program made from 8 Oscillators (Elements) … or a Part is an FM-X (Frequency Modulation) program made from 8 Oscillators (Operators).
It is likely that one or more of the Oscillators is tuned or is being offset by the semitone.
There are too many ways for a sound to be “off by a semitone to cover in a single post, and not enough info provided based on the brief description you have provided. But you can go through the Performance in a systematic way to find the culprit.
There are two main levels to the MONTAGE architecture: the upper “COMMON/Audio” level which are parameters shared by all Parts together.
The second level is the individual “Parts” - each Part is like a complete synth sound/instrument or it can be a component in a Multi Part instrument. As many as 8 Parts can be linked together by a function called Keyboard Control (KBD CTRL) for simultaneous play via the keyboard. Each oscillator within a Part can be tuned, and each Part within the Performance can be tuned.
From the [PERFORMANCE (HOME)] screen
Press [EDIT] _ you’ll arrive on the upper “Common/Audio” level of the architecture… the top line in the screen always identifies *where* exactly you are.
On your right front panel, press [PART SELECT 1] _ the screen reports you are in Part 1 Edit
If the instrument in Part 1 is AWM2 - the background will be grey.
Touch “Part Settings” > “Pitch”
Find the “Note Shift” parameter, it should, in general, be set to +0, or +/-12 for each Octave up/down from normal tuning. Note Shift of +/-1 would indicate a semitone.
If the instrument in Part 1 is FM-X - the background will be brown.
Touch “Pitch/Filter” > “Pitch”
Find the “Note Shift” parameter.
Rinse and repeat for each Part. Use the [PART SELECT #] buttons to move between Parts… active Parts will be glowing.
That should get you started…
…if this is not the culprit, let us know and we can go deeper.
There are many ways to offset the pitch that you hear.
