Is there a video out there for Montage that shows how to duplicate pattern mode from the motif ES that uses the pro version of cubase and not AI version? I do exactly everything correctly with the video put out a long time ago and it never works correctly. I thought that it might have something to do with the fact that I have the pro version of cubase and not the AI version that comes with every purchase of montage. Also is there a group of videos that shows how to use the montage with the pro version of cubase in general? Thank you.

There is no one way to work. What are you interested in recording?
Are you interested in recording MIDI Tracks? Audio Tracks?
Can you give a bit of an idea of what YOU want to do?

What you have tried that didn’t work?
Are you using any of the MONTAGE recording templates in Cubase Pro?

The recording templates make using Cubase Pro and the MONTAGE/MODX easy... except for one minor difference this is described in detail in the article link below:
MONTAGE & Cubase Pro Workflow

Loop recording is easily setup in any version of Cubase. Set the Start/End (measure) Markers, and activate the purple ‘Cycle’ icon on the Transport.
You can ‘merge’ data, or have Cubase keep each cycle as a separate take.
You can Quantize as you Record or after the fact.
In Cubase Pro, the “Arrange” Track allows you to create sections using the ‘draw’ tool - you can define regions quickly and create multiple versions using the Play Order feature.

If you had instructions for Pro-specific features - then AI couldn't follow those. But instructions for AI should translate fine for Pro. The first BM tutorials I see out there use Cubase version 8 - so that's a "big" difference since the menus in 9 and 10 have been slightly adjusted around in terms of the naming convention and organization. If you have Cubase 8 Pro - I don't see why the tutorials as-is wouldn't work out.

I'm not saying to downgrade if you have version 9 or 10 - just trying to illustrate the difference probably isn't a Pro vs. AI thing as much as a version-to-version thing.

The intro tutorial mentions that they were designed to accommodate AI, Pro, and PC and Mac - hinting towards some slight differences that should be easy enough to bridge not to require different tutorials. When I'm not sure of something because I can't find it (an 8 vs. 9 or 10 deal) - I look to generic Cubase tutorials for the newer version.
