I am having an issue loading/importing MOTIF XF files into the Montage User area. After the process of loading various .X3A files, there are several Performances that are not sounding properly.... some performances are missing waveforms, while some other performances seem to be missing key banks, or some key ranges are not sounding. Any feedback on this issue would be appreciated. Thanks.
The reason for this is being looked into. It may have to do with the preparation of the data, or the nature of the file. Can you provide any additional information about the file, the extension, on what version of XF was it made, etc., is it copy protected data, any info maybe helpful.
Thx for the response Bad Mr.
One example of the files with this issue is the Yamaha Ultimate Piano Collection content (included in the Bonus 40th Anniversary promotion of the Motif XF) Upon loading this particular bank (entitled "UltimatePiano.n2.X3A") directly from the source file provided on the promotional USB jump drive, several performances such as "PowerGrand", "Jazz Grand" "Wide Comp" don't sound because the waveforms these voices (performances) use did not load for some odd reason... particularly the waveforms: Piano1 St, Piano2 St.
I am not aware if these particular wave samples are "copy protected".
Other problematic voice data that have issues are some voices from the "Inspiration in a flash" library....
Organ voices like Cool Dry, Cool percent, CoolRotary; and several sax voices either seem to have missing keybanks or note-ranges (upon inspection in the "Waveform Edit" function on the Montage).
These issues also occur when loading in an "all" type data file (.X3A extension) created on my Motif XF6 which also contain these voices in question, and also from .X3A files created from the Melas Waveform Editor.
Thanks again!
In case of Yamaha Ultimate Piano Collection, the CP1 and XF voices seem to work fine, whereas the voices from S90ES and MOTIF as well as the last voice Reverb Piano do not. Maybe this gives some hint to solve the issue. It is the same problem whether the X3A file is loaded as a User File or a Library File.
I'll let you know when I hear something.
I am having this same problem with some of my files. Any help would be appreciated. I Iooked at the different files with the Melas waveform editor and it seemed like the files that had ....LPC.... on different parts of the keybanks instead of ...16 bit.....had the most trouble.
That is correct. We are awaiting word on whether those can be converted by the current system.
still no solution in OS 1.20 - what a dissapointment π
Any word on this issue yet? I Just updated to the 1.5 OS and attempted to reload "Inspirations In A Flash" to the montage (which is a .x3A File) and i also get the message that certain Key Banks were unable to be loaded
Yes, the error message is new. When there is word on either a fix or a work around you will hear it here.
Yes after OS 1.5 upgrading the problem still remains...:(
After OS 1.6 upgrading the problem still remains?:(
Hi all
Does this now work?
Thanks.
I doubt it. I do not see evidence of active development to "fix" this. I view the limitation less as a bug and more as policy.
