I wanted to try soling live over a two chord vamp without the DAW. I tried a few things but what worked great was recording the vamp and then setting user arps for what I played, and what the arps played and assigned those to a scene. This is really fast way to approximate the "Patterns" A B C D, and is great for playing live where you can totally make up what ever you want to play with normal arps on say scenes 1-6, and then vamp / solo with any part along with any prerecorded sequences, played as direct arps say on scene 7.
